Typical Treatment Schedule – Diabetes

Day 1:

Arrival.

One of our service personnel will pick you up at the Beijing Capital Airport and bring you to the hospital. This person will assist you with the hospital registration.

Days 2 and 3:

Meet your physician.This person will be in charge of your treatment regimen, including managing your examinations, tests, medications, treatments and will also coordinate with your nurses and service personnel.Initial tests.This is done in order to check your condition and confirm your eligibility for treatment. The initial test is managed according to your particular needs. It may contain the following tests: routine blood tests, urine tests, ECG, abdominal ultrasound.

Final treatment plan.

Your physician-in-charge will plan and discuss your final treatment plan with you. He or she will schedule the transplantation days. Angiography typically take place from 10 to 11:30 am. You will be informed ahead of time of any changes in the schedule.

Meeting your traditional Chinese medicine doctor and your physiotherapist.This is to assess you and to schedule your treatment plan. You will have 2 rehabilitation sessions each weekday, except on the transplantation days.

Day 4:

You will receive your first transplantation. There is a 3–5 day break between transplantations. Should you have fever, or any unexpected symptoms, please report these immediately to the doctor on duty. After the angiography, you will be monitored for a few hours hours. After this duration, you may move back to your private ward.

Day 8 – 13:

You will receive the remainder of your transplantations.

Day 15:

You will meet your neurologist and receive your discharge report and invoice. You will then be driven back to the airport to catch your flight.

  • Physician care:Day shift: 8–12 am, 2–5 pm
  • Night shift: 7 pm–8 am
  • Nurse care: 24 hours
  • Laboratory: 7 am–5 pm
  • Radiology Dept: 8 am–5pm
  • Patient Service: 9 am–5 pm

Note: After your application, our doctor will contact you to discuss your treatment date and will give you details of the initial treatment plan. At this stage, the doctor will suggest various methods that may be used, indicate the number of transplantations that may be needed, and identify the source of stem cells. Your final treatment  plan is formulated in Beijing after the results of all the tests are completed.
